In that case, you can use NeuroomNet Monitoring to restart the soft\u00adware. This is faster than restarting the entire PC.<br>It is also helpful to know where the error origi\u00adnated in order to resolve it perma\u00adnently.  <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=\u201c4.21.0\u201d _module_preset=\u201cdefault\u201d global_colors_info=\u201d{}\u201d]<\/p>\n<div class=\"ql-block\" data-block-id=\"block-88846c4f-719f-4103-82e7-306c0a38a208\">\n<h4>How does it work?<\/h4>\n<p>The exhibit appli\u00adca\u00adtion connects to the NeuroomNet server via a network using the provided inter\u00adface. Exhibits are uniquely iden\u00adti\u00adfied via Vend\u00adorIDs. <\/p>\n<p>There are stan\u00addard actions that NeuroomNet has imple\u00admented for this, for example:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>User login\/logout<\/li>\n<li>Restart Exhibits Soft\u00adware<\/li>\n<li>Restart soft\u00adware<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=\u201c4.21.0\u201d _module_preset=\u201cdefault\u201d global_colors_info=\u201d{}\u201d]<\/p>\n<div class=\"ql-block\" data-block-id=\"block-88846c4f-719f-4103-82e7-306c0a38a208\">\n<p>The deve\u00adlo\u00adpers of the exhibits can imple\u00adment the func\u00adtion\u00ada\u00adlity of these actions in their soft\u00adware. NeuroomNet only sends the trigger for this. <\/p>\n<p>In addi\u00adtion, individual events and actions can be regis\u00adtered. The WebSo\u00adcket protocol (ws:\/\/ accor\u00adding to RFC 6455) is used for commu\u00adni\u00adca\u00adtion, which offers a number of advan\u00adtages: The protocol is based on TCP (connec\u00adtion-oriented) and ensures the bidi\u00adrec\u00adtional exch\u00adange of message packets. In addi\u00adtion, ready-made libra\u00adries are already available for a wide range of runtime envi\u00adron\u00adments (opera\u00adting systems and programming languages).<br>The server listens for connec\u00adtion requests on a prede\u00adfined port. Appli\u00adca\u00adtions must connect to the server as soon as they are ready. <br>The trans\u00admitted data packets consist of JSON strings.<br>It is recom\u00admended to store the server\u2019s IP address\u2014or rather, its name, which can be resolved via DNS\u2014and the port in an appli\u00adca\u00adtion-specific confi\u00adgu\u00adra\u00adtion file so that any neces\u00adsary adjus\u00adt\u00adments can be made easily.    <\/div>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row _builder_version=\u201c4.21.0\u201d _module_preset=\u201cdefault\u201d global_colors_info=\u201d{}\u201d][et_pb_column type=\u201c4_4\u201d _builder_version=\u201c4.21.0\u201d _module_preset=\u201cdefault\u201d global_colors_info=\u201d{}\u201d][et_pb_text _builder_version=\u201c4.21.0\u201d _module_preset=\u201cdefault\u201d global_colors_info=\u201d{}\u201d]<\/p>\n<div class=\"ql-block\" data-block-id=\"block-88846c4f-719f-4103-82e7-306c0a38a208\">\n<h4>PING \u2014 Are you still there?<\/h4>\n<p>After connecting\/logging in an exhibit to the server, the server will query the status of the application\/exhibit at regular inter\u00advals to be able to visua\u00adlize error states in the media control and thus allow the exhi\u00adbi\u00adtion staff to correct the error. If the appli\u00adca\u00adtion hangs and does not respond or the WebSo\u00adcket connec\u00adtion is discon\u00adnected, the exhibit is reported as \u201cOFFLINE\u201d. On the other hand, the appli\u00adca\u00adtion may only return an \u201cOk\u201d if all compon\u00adents are working properly. However, exhibit soft\u00adware can also report individual errors such as \u201cNo more paper\u201d or \u201cConnected camera not working\u201d.   <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=\u201c4.21.0\u201d _module_preset=\u201cdefault\u201d global_colors_info=\u201d{}\u201d]<\/p>\n<div class=\"ql-block\" data-block-id=\"block-88846c4f-719f-4103-82e7-306c0a38a208\">\n<h4>Visitor identification via RFID or QR code<\/h4>\n<p>The system is desi\u00adgned to manage visitor login information. This is described here as an example of regis\u00adtra\u00adtion using an RFID wrist\u00adband.<br>The visitor checks in at an exhibit by holding their RFID wrist\u00adband up to the exhibit\u2019s RFID reader. The RFID reader trans\u00admits the wristband\u2019s ID to the system, which then commu\u00adni\u00adcates this via API to the assi\u00adgned appli\u00adca\u00adtion from the exhibit manu\u00adfac\u00adturer. The appli\u00adca\u00adtion will then initiate the visitor\u2019s inter\u00adac\u00adtion with the exhibit (game, information, etc.). Once this inter\u00adac\u00adtion is complete (whether normally upon comple\u00adtion of all actions, through an explicit, manual termi\u00adna\u00adtion, or due to a timeout), corre\u00adspon\u00adding information is sent to the system.    <\/p>\n<p>If, in the course of visitor inter\u00adac\u00adtion, it is neces\u00adsary to confirm a tran\u00adsac\u00adtion via RFID wrist\u00adband, this information is trans\u00admitted to the appli\u00adca\u00adtion in the same way. The appli\u00adca\u00adtion must decide based on its status whether it is a confir\u00adma\u00adtion, a new regis\u00adtra\u00adtion, or a change of visitor. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=\u201c4.21.0\u201d _module_preset=\u201cdefault\u201d global_colors_info=\u201d{}\u201d]<\/p>\n<div class=\"ql-block\" data-block-id=\"block-88846c4f-719f-4103-82e7-306c0a38a208\">\n<h4>Imple\u00adment visitor identification yourself<\/h4>\n<h5>What is the advan\u00adtage of using the NeuroomNet Exhibits API?<\/h5>\n<p>Finally, each appli\u00adca\u00adtion could also imple\u00adment its own commu\u00adni\u00adca\u00adtion with an RFID or QR code reader.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>It is often the case that several compa\u00adnies write the exhibit soft\u00adware for an exhi\u00adbi\u00adtion.
