NeuroomNet has nume\u00adrous inter\u00adfaces. If \u201csome\u00adthing\u201d is connected via one of these inter\u00adfaces, be it dedicated hard\u00adware, soft\u00adware, or another endpoint, then we call it a \u201ccompo\u00adnent\u201d. There is probably no univer\u00adsally valid name that sums ever\u00ady\u00adthing up, so we have decided on the term \u201ccompo\u00adnent\u201d.<\/p>\n

Compon\u00adents are the basis of our accoun\u00adting system. If you do not have many compon\u00adents, you will only need a few licenses. We offer licenses in packages. Ther\u00ade\u00adfore, you do not need to know the exact number of your compon\u00adents in advance, but an appro\u00adxi\u00admate idea will help you decide which package you need. Of course, the packages can be extended at any time.<\/p>\n

The NeuroomNet PC client (soft\u00adware tool) is installed on the PC. From then on, the PC is a compo\u00adnent. In addi\u00adtion, a compo\u00adnent can also have a compo\u00adnent type<\/strong> to better specify the compo\u00adnent. Let\u2019s take the example from above again, the KNX compo\u00adnent. Basi\u00adcally, NeuroomNet only knows the inter\u00adface (KNX) and the address. But now, as an admi\u00adnis\u00adtrator, I can still assign the compo\u00adnent type, either the said socket or light or a heating actuator or, or.<\/p>\n

The same is true for most compo\u00adnent types. An SNMP compo\u00adnent can be of type printer, network switch, etc., and a DMX compo\u00adnent of type head-moving spot\u00adlight or fog machine, etc\u2026<\/p>\n

You don\u2019t have to make a compo\u00adnent type assign\u00adment, but it gives you the possibility to switch lights and sockets sepa\u00adra\u00adtely, for example.<\/p>\n

Complex multi\u00admedia instal\u00adla\u00adtions are more than a random coll\u00adec\u00adtion of devices and soft\u00adware. In most cases, these are already grouped in some way during the plan\u00adning stage: be it accor\u00adding to rooms or individual stations such as exhibits or work\u00adsta\u00adtions. This makes it clearer which devices are respon\u00adsible for what and how they work toge\u00adther.<\/p>\n

But this grou\u00adping can be subdi\u00advided and named differ\u00adently depen\u00adding on the project. That\u2019s why you can build and name a tree struc\u00adture quite flexibly in NeuroomNet.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s take a museum as an example:<\/p>\n

A digital exhibit as the smal\u00adlest unit could consist of a computer, two projec\u00adtors, and an RFID reader. So we need a group-type \u201cexhibit\u201d.However, other stations cannot be directly called exhibits. So we also need the group types \u201cDigital Signage\u201d for information displays and \u201cWork\u00adplace\u201d for employees*. These three group types are all on the same level, which we call \u201cstation\u201d in this example.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s think of a small digital signage station in the foyer that welcomes visitors with various images and videos or even inter\u00adac\u00adtive content. This station consists of a computer, soft\u00adware that plays the content, and a projector to throw the output on the wall and the whole thing should be discon\u00adnected from the power when it is turned off.<\/p>\n

To do this, we simply group our compon\u00adents.<\/p>\n
